Eric Yao presenting the cheque to the Ga Mantse
A delegation from Ghana Post Company Limited led by Nii Tackie-Komme, has presented an amount of GH¢5,000.00 and assorted drinks to the Ga Mantse, Boni Nii Tackie Adama Lastse II, at his palace.
The donation, which was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility, was to support the paramount chief and his subjects in celebrating this year’s Homowo festival.
Mr. Eric Yao, Managing Director of Ghana Post who presented the items, said Ghana Post had been with the people for centuries and that donating towards the celebration was a move in the right direction. “This is not the first time the company is living up to such responsibility; and will not be the last,” he assured.
According to him, his outfit is poised to become one of the top companies to meet the needs of its cherished customers and also respond to more social demands as the fortunes of the company improve.
In his response, the Ga Mantse expressed appreciation for the gesture and assured the management of the company that he would continue to pray for it (Ghana Post) to grow from strength to strength.
Boni Nii Tackie Adama Lastse II acknowledged the difficult situation in which Ghana Post finds itself, referring to the stiff competition and the rise in internet usage instead of sending mails by post.
That notwithstanding, he urged management of the company to be resolute and attract more businesses.
Mr Tackie-Komme, member of the Ghana Post Board of Directors, informed the Ga Mantse and his elders that Ghana Post had and still attracting other businesses – from the financial services to real estate management – so that it could survive the competition.
