Kojo Oppong Nkrumah
Former host of Joy FM’s Super Morning Show Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has provisionally won the Ofoasi Ayirebi primary to contest on the ticket of the NPP in the 2016 elections.
The ace journalist polled an overwhelming 219 votes to beat his closest contender John Obiri Yeboah who polled 145. The aspiring candidate Bright Asamoah Acquah polled a paltry 54.
It appears the campaign promises of the former broadcast journalist have resonated with the delegates.
He had early on promised to institute an education trust fund in the constituency to help needy but brilliant students if he gets the nod.
He would also provide the constituency with a doctor to cater for the health needs of the constituents. The delegates accepted the promises and voted massively for the astute communicator.
The Ofoasi Ayirebi constituency is known to be a popular seat for the opposition NPP.
