Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu produced a stellar performance, capping it with the only goal in his side’s 1-0 win over Sampdoria in the Italian Serie ‘A’ on Sunday.
And explaining what accounted for his recent razor-sharp form, he told this writer after the game on telephone that “it’s been one of my best seasons. I thank God I got a goal, it crowned a hard day’s effort, and I thank my mates for their respective roles in the game.
“You know we had a comprehensive pre-season, and I want to believe that is one of the reasons for my form. I had a slight knock earlier in the season but I bounced back.
“My form is attracting suitors by the day, but I want to finish well with Udinese; that is if I will move. It’s been my fifth or sixth season here, I want to end on a high note.”
The former Asante Kotoko man played a key role in the Black Stars two-leg World Cup qualifier against Comoros recently.
