The CEO of Wonder Sports and Fitness Centre, Kofi Adjei-Maafo has hinted that he is set to take the running of sports fitness centre a level higher.

The sports gymnasium, located on the campus of Queensland International School near the Junction Mall at Nungua in Accra, is expected to be completed next-year. It has a 24-hour gym, astro turf, diagnosis centre, tennis and basketball courts as well as a restaurant.

Adjei-Maafo revealed that his passion for workout drove him to establish the gymnasium.

He said plans were far advanced for foreign partnership with expatriates to open an academy as well as run the sports facility on purely professional lines.

“I have been passionate about fitness and work-out all my life. We’re taking this on a different level, I mean we want to run like a purely business entity.

“We are looking forward to a partnership with expatriates from Europe, London, Asia and other places. Branding is key to us hence our customized polo shirts and all that,” said Adjei-Maafo.

He revealed that the facility with a 42×35 metre square modern astro pitch, which began operations last July, is open to all and also serves as a hang out centre for the people in and around Tema and Nungua.

Last Saturday, a 7-aside special eight-team soccer tourney, which took place at the center, saw FC Twenty defending the trophy they lifted in the maiden edition.
