DESPITE KOTOKO’S poor run in the league, a former player of the club insists the Porcupine Warriors will be among the top four on the table.
Sarfo Gyamfi, nicknamed ‘The Black President’, stated emphatically that Kotoko would overcome their troubles and end the season in style.
He developed this renewed hope immediately Kotoko, against all odds, whipped league leaders Ashantigold 1-0 in Kumasi on Sunday.
“Kotoko will qualify among the top four on the league table at the end of the season,” Sarfo Gyamfi told newsmen at the Baba Yara stadium.
According to him, the presence of former Kotoko CEOs like Sylvester Asare Owusu and Alhaji Nje, helped Kotoko to beat Ashgold.
After Sunday’s hard-won victory, Sarfo Gyamfi noted that Kotoko’s confidence, which left the club some weeks back, had suddenly returned.
The former Kotoko midfielder said Kotoko now needed prayers after the victory over Ashgold so that the club would remain on the winning path.
Sounding extremely confident, Sarfo Gyamfi pointed out that Kotoko would win their remaining matches and finish fourth on the league log.
“We are surely going to play in the Top 4,” Sarfo Gyamfi remarked, noting that Kotoko would not lose again.
The former Kotoko player therefore urged supporters of the club to offer unflinching support to the playing body as the league heads to homestretch.
