Information gathered by DAILY GUIDE on Thursday indicated that the Gomoa Central Constituency organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Kobina Gyasi and his boys on Tuesday destroyed street bulbs and items he provided the people of Gomoa Gyaman with.
Mr Gyasi and his cohorts allegedly took to the street of Gyaman to destroy the items immediately after the declaration of the results of the district assembly polls because according to the residents, he was not voted for as the assembly man for the area.
According to information, Mr Gyasi, who contested at the Asikuma Gyaman electoral area, provided the people with street bulbs among other things, to seek their mandate to represent them at the assembly.
DAILY GUIDE learned that the rampaging group later attacked the supporters of the elected assembly man, Mr Frank Eshun, compelling him and his supporters to seek refuge in some homes and other communities in the area.
Information gathered by this reporter further indicated that the elected assembly man and his supporters had since reported the matter to the police at Obuasi in the constituency.
However, no arrests had been made as at press time.
