A LEADING wholly-owned Ghanaian identity and security management company, Margins Group Limited (MGL), has commenced activities marking its 25th anniversary celebrations.
The Group is expected to organize an Art Exhibition from 7th to 9th December and a Musical Concert on the 9th of this month at the Kempinski Hotel, Gold Coast City, Accra, as part of the celebrations.
Speaking at the official launch of the 25th anniversary celebrations yesterday at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra, Executive Director of Margins Group Limited, Frank Oye, observed that “the celebration of this 25th anniversary is to reflect the core values of the Margins Group and communicate our vision and mission as a company.”
In continuing, he indicated that “it will mark key highlights of our 25 year quest to build a multinational African company, specialized in meeting the needs of our customers initially in the areas of document presentation, protection, securitization and preservation, and how we evolved over the years into a secure documents, cards, identification, secure data and transactions company.”
Resilience and determination, according to him, have been the key factors driving the MGL on the path of success over the last two-decades and half.
He said “…Our start up with $100 capital, and our growth into a multinational African held company, headquartered in Africa, in an African environment shows our resilience and determination.”
On the way forward for the group, Mr. Oye indicated that “the future looks bright for MGL,” adding that “MGL is strategically placed to take advantage of the opportunities in Ghana and the sub-region.”
Mr. Oye used the opportunity to implore African countries to ensure that their citizens have verifiable identifications to avoid the situation where Africans resident in Africa are excluded from the society due to lack of identification.
Founder and Executive Chairman of MGL, Moses Kwesi Baiden Jnr, in a statement indicated that the success of the group over the years has been driven by the selfless and dedicated spirit of its human capital.
Minister of State In-Charge of Public Private Partnership, Abdul-Rashid Pelpuo, commended the Margins Group on its achievements over the years.
Surviving the turbulent business environment over the last 25 years, the minister said, Margins Group had shown that it had grown beyond the “ordinary” business practice in Ghana.
According to him, it was undeniable that the nation needs companies like MGL with visionary leaders for its economic transformation.
