DHL Global Forwarding has launched its Less than Container Load (LCL) Outbound Services in Takoradi in the Western region.
The LCL service would help shippers to better balance orders with market demand and worry less about stockpiling until they achieve full container-load quantities.

Single Window policy
Mawuse Dadjo, Sector Commander of the Customs Division of Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), who was speaking at the launch, said the GRA, in partnership with GCNet, has initiated a comprehensive and integrated approach to reduce the complexity and cost of trade transactions process.
“This will ensure that all these activities can take place in an efficient, transparent and predictable manner based on international accepted norms, standards and best practices,” she said.
Madam Dadjo said there should be a common platform for all stakeholders to process their documents in order to facilitate trade, reduce cost of doing business and improve clearance time.
She said, “It is important for customs to adopt the Single Window policy to facilitate trade and reduce cost and time in dealing with import, export and transit trade”.
As part of the automation process, Madam Dadjo said a new process of registering businesses and individuals for their tax identification had been put in place.
She encouraged all stakeholders to ensure the success of the single window policy so that “we will increase our businesses.”
